What to expect in a Reiki session

A Reiki session is usually conducted in a quiet room, where the client, fully clothed, is sitting in a chair or lying on a massage table. A relaxing environment is created with low lighting, candles and soft music. The practitioners hands may be placed on or just above the head, front and back of the body, using a variety of hand placements located near major chakras. A session usually lasts from 45 to 70 minutes. All the client needs to do is relax and enjoy the healing energy.
